Although it was my own fault for not speciying correctly in the first place.
Anyway onwards and upwards -

For quite a large amount of the last few months I have spent time leveling alts but that’s slowed down now as it is more and more apparent that Cataclysm will hit SOON™, so now its the mad rush to try and fit it in everything I want to get done on my main before it does. Unfortunately in my case there is just far too much that I would like to get done. So now its case of trying to be realistic about what I can complete in time.

The current obsession of this week has been try to finish off leveling every weapon skill that I can on my main Hunter, only 2 left to go now (2-Handed Swords and Staves). Now some people will be wondering why on earth I’m bothering with that as when Cata comes around we will all have all our weapon skills without having to level them. Well, that in itself IS the point, the originals (well some of them anyway) will become Feats of Strength, and as I’ve been playing for nearly 3 years now I feel it’s time I have something to show for that, that newer players won’t be able to get.
Similarly, I’ve actually concentrated a bit more on Brewfest this year, after all up until now I haven’t done that much of it(or most of the annual holiday events), but then again this year I seem to have ‘clicked’ with how to do the Ram riding which is a big plus point, and the cheap and easy Frosties certainly help for someone like me who doesn’t raid and just won’t PUG heroics. My DK mining/enchanting machine however has done particularly well, as he was sitting in mostly quest greens / blues (and a mixture of both DPS and Tanking gear as well, as I keep changing my mind about which one I want to try and learn) but now is sporting 2 Tankards O’ Terror and the Crit trinket. This is particularly impressive as I’m still pulling less than 2k DPS, and I’m fairly sure I wouldn’t last any more than the 30 seconds that Coren Direbrew takes in a normal heroic!

I do really need to spend time leveling my Troll hunter from halfway through 73 to 75
so that I can do the final quest for the Reclaiming the Isle’s event before it disappears,
It would be nice to have done this one both sides. My original plan was to get him or
my Orc hunter to 80 before Cataclysm so that I have top level toon’s on both sides as
its really nice to view all the events from both sides of the game as it were, but as
per above this objective has moved from the ‘must be done’ to the ‘nice to be done’
pre-cata list. In fact the ‘must be done’ list is getting to be fairly small as I know
I’m starting to struggle for time a bit as work is a bit hectic and I will be gone to
the US for 2 weeks in October for Blizzcon, and whilst I’ll have my laptop and logging
in to say hello to guildies I certainly wont’ be doing any serious wow’ing, well except
one or 2 Headless horseman runs maybe .

There are other prepping for Cataclysm things I need to be doing, mostly getting some
gold saved up as I have very little at the moment and I’d like to get the new flying
skills at least on my main as soon as I can. The other main thing to be doing is clearing
out some bank space, definitely on my bank toon guild bank as its full of stuff which for
the most part is likely to be completely worthless when Cataclysm launches, I may end up
vendoring quite a lot tho as the thought of spending hours every week on the AH is not
very alluring to say the least.

I’m sure there are other things I am doing or have planned but enough rambling writing
for one day I think.
